About

Ball Reaction is an advanced predictive movement and hazard-planning system for Roblox experiences. Instead of reacting only when a hazard is already close, Ball Reaction continuously observes the environment, estimates future trajectories, evaluates multiple movement options and chooses the safest available route in real time. The system was designed around prediction, movement planning and failure analysis rather than simple distance checks. MAIN FEATURES • Multi-Threat Prediction Ball Reaction tracks multiple moving hazards at the same time and estimates where they are likely to be in the near future. • Learned Threat Behavior The controller observes movement over time and estimates properties such as acceleration, turning behavior, maximum speed, response delay and prediction error. • Collision-Aware Prediction Future trajectories are checked against the environment instead of assuming objects travel through walls or floors. • Bounce Prediction Ball Reaction can account for hazards that collide with geometry and change direction after impact. Multiple bounce models are evaluated to reduce the chance of trusting a single incorrect prediction. • Implicit Threat Detection A hazard does not need to be explicitly targeting the player to be considered dangerous. The system detects rapidly converging objects using relative velocity, closing speed and closest-approach calculations. • Hard Safety Layer Critical situations activate an additional safety stage. When impact time is extremely low or prediction uncertainty becomes high, fragile routes can be rejected and the planner becomes more conservative. • Predictive Movement Planner The controller evaluates many candidate actions before moving. Routes are scored using information such as: - predicted clearance - time to impact - future freedom - threat density - geometry - movement continuation - available movement resources - uncertainty - collision risk • Jump and Double-Jump Planning Jumping is treated as part of the prediction system rather than a random emergency action. The planner considers airborne trajectories and can decide when a jump or double jump provides a safer future position. • Dash Planning Movement abilities are treated as limited resources. Ball Reaction evaluates when a dash is actually useful instead of wasting it whenever a hazard appears. • Lava Navigation Lava environments use a dedicated platform-navigation system. The controller can: - detect usable platforms - estimate reachable distances using jump physics - prefer higher platforms - prefer larger landing surfaces - build routes through multiple platforms - avoid deliberately moving downward into danger - detect when vertical progress has stalled - temporarily leave a pillar to evade a hazard and return safely This allows Ball Reaction to reason about vertical survival instead of simply avoiding the edge of the current platform. • Laser and Hazard Awareness The system can track additional environmental hazards and include them in route evaluation. • Geometry Safety Movement candidates are checked against floors, edges, walls and landing locations before execution. • Online Calibration The controller continuously observes movement behavior and adjusts parts of its internal model while the experience is running. DEBUGGING AND ANALYSIS Ball Reaction includes a built-in flight recorder designed to make failures understandable. The recorder keeps up to approximately five minutes of recent gameplay state and can store: - player position and velocity - active hazards - movement state - selected planner action - predicted clearance - time to impact - prediction confidence - prediction error - uncertainty - emergency replans - bounce predictions - collision predictions - lava planner state - incidents and state transitions A replay viewer can reconstruct recorded situations and a debug trace can be exported for deeper analysis. This makes it possible to identify why a failure happened instead of simply guessing. DESIGN Ball Reaction follows a layered architecture: Environment → Threat Tracking → Behavior Estimation → Trajectory Prediction → Collision / Bounce Prediction → Candidate Generation → Path Scoring → Safety Validation → Movement Execution → Replay / Diagnostics The project has evolved through repeated testing, recorded failures and regression fixes. Ball Reaction is intended as an open-source movement-planning framework that developers can study, modify and integrate into their own Roblox experiences. CURRENT VERSION Ball Reaction 1.8.9 betasync5378 The project is still under active development, so predictions are estimates and behavior can vary depending on the physics and mechanics of each experience. Open source. Built for experimentation, movement AI, hazard navigation and real-time planning.
